Steps From The Beach!

INFORMATION FOR 2013 WILL BE UPLOADED ASAP. But you'll notice that we're changing it up this year. Hotel steps from the beach, welcome dinner party and tons of other great stuff to keep those that join us that don't ride waves every day. So stay tuned as we continue to update your 2013 Cabo Freak Fest info! BELOW IS THE INFORMATION FOR THIS PAST CABO FREAK FEST 2012.

What do we all want in life? We want to get away and out of the rat race and enjoy ourselves in warm weather and if we ride waves, then perfect waves wouldn't hurt either. This is it people! Mailei and Manny Vargas resurrected Cabo Freak Fest back in 2003 and in 2012 it'll be 10 solid years since we brought out the defibrillator on such and awesome trip! What do we have in store for this historical trip, you ask? First let me say that we're bringing it all back! Yes! The Century Club, The Wet T-Shirt Contest, Bucket of Beer at the Mango Deck and we are going to keep our excellent local tour guides to make sure we don't miss any swell along the miles of pristine coast line!

Two years ago, we hired good friend and fellow bodyboarder Daniel aka Pollo (Bonito Tours) to drive us around in search of the perfect wave. Pollo and his partner Rolando own and operate a tour company that takes tourists around in their brand spankin' new comfortable air conditioned vans. The past two years this service has been absolutely amazing! Pollo, because he knows all the spots in and around Cabo, will take us only to best spots in style. Every morning and afternoon, we are on the search for waves. Yes... the entire week! Oh yeah... if you think we're going to roll up to crowded surf breaks with our crew, you're mistaken! We usually roll up to to empty crystal clear blue water waves with no one in site for miles... all just for us! My question is simple... are you ready to surf your brains out and get in some partying along the way? If so, read on...

Daily Wave Search!

It was over 26 Years ago that the first professional bodyboarders invaded Cabo San Lucas in search of barrels, babes and booze. And yes, they found it all on the warm sandy beaches of Cabo. The legendary trip continues. Cabo Freak Fest originator, Cameron Steele, will join you in 2012. Tour Guide, Manny Vargas, will continue to bring you legends of the sport to join us at Land's End, Cabo San Lucas. We've seen the likes of Paul Roach, Chris Won Taloa, Spencer Skipper and more enjoying what Cabo Freak Fest has to offer! Now, it's your turn to soak up the sun rays and pull into some crystal clear barrels.

Because it is the 10 Year Anniversary of Cabo Freak Fest, we invite all those that experienced the madness once before! We've crunched the numbers as much as possible to get you the best deal possible. Cabo San Lucas will be home for one insane week of madness. Waves, rock jumping, games, contests, partying and good times! RIDE.PARTY.REPEAT.

Welcome to paradise.

PARTIERS ::: In typical Freak Fest fashion, we'll deliver the goods. All you have to do is show up! Cabo Freak Fest has everything to make your next vacation a memorable one. We start off the trip with a Welcome Party at Land's End Cantina. There, we will brush up on our Beer Pong skills and get to know the new peeps and catch up with old friends. Next we set sail on the one and only Jungle Cruise. Two and a half hours on the bay of Cabo with unlimited good times, dancing and booze! The Jungle Cruise will be our Theme Night. So make sure you pack your sexy 70's Outfit for the boat ride and the night out on the town. Right after the Jungle Cruise we continue the fun at the Tiki Bar. From there it's off to the infamous Squid Roe. We wind down with a trip to Cabo's infamous Mango Deck. There, you can chill and see all the eye candy that Cabo has to offer. Oh yeah, you can get a bucket of beer to cool you down for only ten bones. Plus, our very own Barikuda will throw down the lyrics between Raul's insane drinking games. The Century Club will take place at poolside at the hotel. This is always a site to see. Remember, you party as much as you can handle. No less. No more. Easy. Ride.Party.Repeat.

Not a worry to worry about.

BODYBOARDERS ::: Your old school pro bodyboarder slash world traveler slash tour guide, Manny Vargas, will photograph and video your week long adventure. This is your chance to get into the mags and show your stuff. Plus, Cabo Freak Fest is the trip where you get to ride waves, party and hang with some of bodyboarding's best! Paul Roach, Spencer Skipper, JJ Ayala, Kira Lewellyn, Eddie Soloman, Jeff Bragg and many other top pros have experienced Cabo Freak Fest since it's resurrection in 2003. 2012 is no different. Again, we have the Cabo Freak Fest Godfather himself, Cameron Steele. Cameron put Cabo Freak Fest on the map and he'll show you why! PLUS, we've got the local legends, Chato, Gregorio, Boxer, Perro Guerro and Mauricio ready to take you on optional secret missions. Finally, DK Wars will go down at the beach break in San Jose. Bring your DK skills for that one.

Flight Info
Reminder... you will be responsible for your own airfare. Don't worry, it's not that hard. The East Coasters have been doing it since the CFF resurrection in 2003. We want to make this painless for you. So let us help you find the lowest price out there. We're here for you. We suggest that you book your flight as early as possible to ensure a good price. Below are some suggestions on how to find the lowest price out there. You will have to email us your flight details as soon as you get them. We will then arrange a shuttle to and from the airport. Okay, here are some suggestions for flights.

Things to consider from each airline:
-Is there a board bag fee?
-Luggage policies?
-Online booking fees? (Sometimes it's cheaper to call the airline direct.)

Flight Suggestions:
1. Travel Agent-It doesn't hurt to ask your local travel agent to book your flight. They might have deals that are not offered online.

2. Volaris - Volaris a company that most San Diegans should consider. Volaris airlines has a shuttle that will pick you up from the downtown San Diego bus station and take you straight to Tijuana airport. The shuttle costs $30 round trip. Because Volaris flies out of Tijuana, you may find that their prices are significantly cheaper! The prices will range from $260 to $360 round trip. Another fee to consider is the Tourist Card fee. As of today, the price is approximately $25 USD. So when you get your flight, consider the $25 and $30 roundtrip shuttle for the total price. Believe it or not, it still may be cheaper than flying from the US. But please search the net!
Also, please note their fares on the Volaris site may show up in Mexican Pesos! So click on the English version of the site.
http://www.volaris.com.mx/

3. Kayak.com - This is a great place to start. It is a search engine for flights. Airfares will show up with corresponding airlines. Please keep in mind that some posted airfares do not include taxes/fees.

4. Other airlines - You can use Kayak.com to reference to other airlines out there that fly to Cabo. Try going straight to those company websites and get a price from there. They often have web specials.

Only Those That Can, Will.

Cabo Freak Fest is a bodyboarding trip. But we invite all wave riders! Skim boarders love this place. Surfers, you'll love the beach breaks and point breaks we venture to. All wave types are here! The crew from Florida always represent. Plus, at Cabo Freak Fest we always have the entertainment on lock down. Bands and DJ's will be partying, riding and rockin' with you the whole week! Longway, Barikuda and DJ Galvin have represented properly. Each year we confirm Kuda 100%. And for those of you that know him, we'll def get the party started!

Crowds? We usually roll up to empty line ups the entire time we're there! Yes, unreal!

All Shorebreak? NO! Cabo has some much more to offer than Lover's perfect shorebreak. We'll make sure that we get you some lined up ride-able waves. Come see for yourself.

Not All Shorebreak!
